The closure from this final chapter is something that is much needed. I am of the opinion that if this chapter were extended into a multi-chapter epilogue we might have actually gotten some closure on things we didn’t even see enough of (Yelena, worm thingy, Ymir’s Stockholm syndrome) and expansion of other aspects of the story. I genuinely liked a lot of the twists in the chapter, but it was pretty obvious Isayama was rushed due to this impending deadline.It gets saved from a 1 because of Levi and the Scouts, and that’s it.

I caught up with the manga in chapter 91, and have been answering these polls ever since they first started, after the first Tumblr character popularity poll (hi mods.i love it, but what happened to yelena?.Still a 9/10 series, just not the near 10/10 it would’ve been with a tighter last arc and better ending. 4/10 Ending, had some good parts I guess.Overall a reasonably satisfying conclusion to an amazing series. If you’d like to see all the write ins, they are available as PDF downloads. Our write in doc, which is normally a few hundred pages, exploded this month to more than 1,300 pages, which by the way, is more pages than Lord of the Rings or War and Peace. This month, Reddit accounts for ⅔ of all responses, significantly more than most months where Twitter and Reddit are even.
We expected a big reaction to the final chapter but none of us on the poll team were prepared for the 16,290 responses we received.
